Recording the sound I discuss here is recording the sound produced from your computer's sound input source. Then you must know very well what sound input sources are used. Whether it comes from the microphone, system audio output or from other sources.

To record sound in Manjaro, I recommend using Gnome-Sound-Recorder from appcenter :


Once installed, create a shortcut in the panel to make it easier to acess :



Open the recorder, the main window will appear:


To start recording, click the record button. Click stop to end recording :

To temporarily save the recording, you have to click the save button. If you want to change the name, change it in the name column, then click save :



Then, to save the recording to your local storage, click the download button.



Once saved, you can play it freely with your player. Or to edit it, you can use Audacity.
